Unlike conventional scan bodies, Scan Gauges are fundamentally more advanced in three ways:
Precision Milled
Each kit is milled by 5-axis industrialized machines. Each Gauge is a single piece of titanium, ensuring tight tolerances.
Individual Library
Each Nexus Scan Gauge Kit utilizes a unique library, undergoing a proprietary metrology process - created after manufacturing.
Patented Design
The design of Scan Gauges and the indicated scanning process mitigate conventional problems associated with full-arch implant-scanning using an IOS.

SCAN GAUGE KIT
IS UNIQUE.
Every kit used with Nexus Connect Lab includes a digital license automatically associated with the account when purchased.
This is necessary for the unique library to work when performing the Library Association step after successful clinician scans are submitted.
Validated Intraoral Scanners
Nexus Scan Gauges are compatible with most major intraoral scanners.
Intraoral scanner validation consists of a series of rigorous tests related to repeatability and accuracy, ensuring scanners can return correct tolerances for the Nexus Scan Gauge application.
Scan Gauge placement and scan strategy must still be followed to achieve successful results.

Scan Confirmation
Clinicians can verify the repeatability of their scans using the in-built scan analyzer.
If scans pass, and protocols have been followed, receive precision implant-data. No verification jig. No rescans.
Load Both Scans
Load the .STL/.PLY files of each Scan Gauge Scan (from either side of the arch).
Prepare & Process
Select the top facet of each Gauge to prepare scans, then select Begin Alignment.
Receive Results
Successful scans then progress to ordering stage including remaining case data upload.

Connect Cloud bridges the gap between clinician scans and lab designs.
Using the first full-arch scan analyzer, the scans received by the lab are already validated by the clinician.
IN-CLINIC SCANS
The doctor performs intraoral scans. Scans are analyzed on the client-side portal and sent to Connect Cloud.
LAB PRODUCTION
With precision implant data exported, case design begins followed by production.
Export implant-position data or order a design from Osteon. Track case progress throughout.

TOOTH DESIGN ⮕ PRECISION MILLED BAR
Designed to validated tooth position. File split, bar milled.
Osteon Medical designs the Nexus bar profile to match the arch, following proven design parameters. A digital approval is sent before production. Once signed-off, the bar is milled, overlay file provided for milling in-lab including relevant models to 3D print and assist with finishing.

SUPERIOR PROSTHETIC DESIGN
Developed and refined for over 7 years.
The fundamental concept of Nexus' final prosthetics is a monobloc-milled overlay and a titanium suprastucture.
Having matching male and female components, occlusal forces are distributed evenly across the prosthesis. Combined with a proprietary internal rail and a lingual ledge profile - this provides rigidity that transfers forces to the bar, not the teeth material.
