NEXUS CONNECT LAB

Simplifying digital full-arch restorations.

There are 3 pillars that make Nexus Connect the most advanced full-arch solution for labs.

  • Scan Gauges: Precision scan body system.

  • Connect Cloud: Integrated case-management platform.

  • Nexus Prosthetics: Advanced final restorations.

Overview

Each case begins with Scan Gauges and an intraoral scanner.

THOUSANDS OF NEXUS CASES

Nexus has been used by clinicians around the world - utilizing the benefits of digital data acquisition and advanced final prosthetic outcomes.

The combination of these technologies result in precision data acquisition, a seamless user experience, and passive-fitting full-arch prostheses.

SCAN GAUGES

  • Nexus Scan Gauge's are the pillar of precision implant capture. Unlike conventional scan bodies, Scan Gauges are fundamentally more advanced in three ways:

    1. Precision milled - Each kit is milled by 5-axis industrialized machines. Ensuring tight tolerances and unique geometry features.

    2. Unique library - Each Nexus SGK has a unique library - ensuring digital alignment is precise.

    3. Accommodates for flaws in IO scanner technology. The design of Scan Gauges and the indicated scanning process mitigate traditional problems faced with full-arch implant-scanning using an IOS.

  • Scan Gauges are used in a similar way to conventional scan bodies.

The key difference is that gauges are to be arranged close to one another.

This helps the intra-oral scanner by having consistent stable surfaces to scan across the arch.

  • Nexus Gen 2.0 Scan Gauge Kits (SGK's) are available for the industry standard Multi-Unit Abutment (MUA). This includes most major implant platforms.

CONNECT CLOUD SOFTWARE

  • Nexus Connect cloud is the complete full-arch case export, ordering, and management tool for your lab.

You give your client your unique URL, where they can analyze their scans and submit their order.

Your technician can then export the implant positions to begin immediate design, or, order a design or milled bar from Osteon Medical.

  • Streamlining full-arch scanning and production for your lab.

    • In-clinic portal with scan verification.

    • Export implant location files with your choice of Scan Body library.

    • Case management inbox.

    • Case chat and notes.

    • File management.

    • Custom branding*

    • Custom RX form*

*Some features only available on higher tier plans.

  • Nexus Connect Lab access is free, with optional plans (in some regions) for discounted orders.

Pricing differs per region - all areas offer pay-as-you-go pricing so you’re only charged at time of export or order.

NEXUS PROSTHETICS

  • The word Nexus means "a connection or link", in this case the connection of two materials.

Nexus final prosthetics involve a monolithically milled tooth-overlay and a titanium framework.

These two precision-milled pieces are then cemented to create a full-arch prosthesis that is inherently designed with minimal points of weakness. Learn more here.

  • Nexus bars are milled from Grade V titanium to ensure lightweight prosthetics, strength, and biocompatibility.

Tooth-overlays can be made from a multitude of materials, including ceramic, plastic and composite.

In regions where fully-finished prosthetics are offered, Osteon offers PMMA or Multilayer Zirconia options.

  • Nexus Titanium Bar-retained Prosthetics can carry a range of benefits over conventional zirconia or hybrid acrylic prosthetics.

    These may include:

    • Decreased fracture rate - a 2020 study comparing conventional acrylic hybrid to a Nexus PMMA Hybrid indicated they were 1.5x Stronger and 4.5k longer lasting*

    • Passivity and dispersion of force - Nexus prosthetics designed to validated scans from the Scan Gauges offer complete passivity between implant sites.

    • Replaceable overlays - Digital design means that tooth-overlays can be re-milled, damaged overlay debonded and the new overlay cemented with minimal time outside of the patients mouth.
